  1. DTR has placed over 1 000 volunteers. This means that volunteers share adventures and develop friendships with people from across the world who are also passionate about helping others.
  2. We are an affordable volunteer organisation, offering high quality and safe volunteer placement to volunteers from all over the world.
  3. We have hosted volunteers from the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, China and Australia who have all been part of our volunteer programs.
  4. Even though South Africa has 11 official languages, volunteers only have to be fluent in English to volunteer with us, no further skills are required!
  5. Director and Co-Founder Iviwe Sixolo has worked at volunteer organisations and shelters for abused women and children before partnering with Tim to create their own organisation.
  6. Director and Co-Founder Tim Murray taught sports at schools and worked at volunteer organisations before taking the plunge to set up his own volunteer operation.
  7. Our volunteers live together in the DTR house which is located in a safe neighbourhood in Cape Town close to where the volunteers will be working.
  8. DTR volunteers in the Capricorn/ Vrygrond community near Muizenberg and the Imizamo Yethu Community near Hout Bay, roughly 30 – 40 minutes outside of Cape Town.
  9. We offer volunteers who want to be part of the Surf Outreach program, but are unable to surf, surfing lessons.
  10. Dreams To Reality is situated in Cape Town to give volunteers the amazing opportunity of helping others and also being able to explore one of South Africa’s most beautiful cities.

Dreams To Reality Foundation aims to provide volunteers with quality, flexible, safe and highly affordable volunteering placements in South Africa. In addition to providing aid and assisting disadvantaged communities, our vision is to increase education and create awareness through the skills and expertise offered by volunteers from their communities.
