Our wildlife Park is fully approved by Cape Nature and currently home to 2 brown lions, 3 white lions, 1 leopard and 2 Bengal tigers.

Our wildlife program is home to a wide variety of game, including sables, blue wildebeest, golden wildebeest, zebra, springbok, fallow deer and eland. Additional to this there is a wonderful game drive and scenic drive of the farm/game reserve.

Birdwatchers can keep an eye out for white pelican, hadeda, blue crane, spur-winged geese, guinea-fowl and – if you are lucky – fish eagle, jackal buzzard and yellow billed kite.

Visit our Big Cats Park for a face to face encounter with our Big Cats, or book a game drive and enjoy a scenic drive of our farm/game reserve!

Program Itinerary

sunday

Airport pick up (Please note if you arrive prior to a Sunday, there will be fee charged per day payable on arrival).

monday

Orientation and full safety briefing which includes a walking tour of the city of Cape Town.

tuesday

Introduction to your volunteer placement, after that volunteer work commences.

wednesday – friday

Continue with volunteer work which includes but not limited to the following:

  • General farm work- maintenance,
  • development Feeding animals. 
  • Assisting with upkeep of animals. 
  • Projects– tourism events
  • Game capture
  • Planting of pastures
  • Harvesting feed for animals
  • Animal enrichment
  • Guiding- game drives and cat park
  • Working in the animal farm with kids

Weekends:

On the weekends, volunteers have spare time to relax or take the opportunity to explore Cape Town or other areas in South Africa. Long weekends can be taken if volunteers wish to go on safari, or travel to places further afield, such as the Garden Route. Weekend food will be provided for self-catering purposes (Saturdays & Sundays) as there will be no staff to attend to cooking over weekends. However, there will be a house manager to assist with any needs that are required.

All volunteering programs are inclusive of airport pick up, breakfast, lunch and dinner 5 days a week. Weekend food will be provided for self catering purposes (Saturdays & Sundays) as there will be no staff to attend to cooking over weekends. However there will be a house manager to assist with any needs that are required.

During school holidays there will be a holiday program running which will vary with activities due to location, weather and time of year. Program outline will be finalized 3 months before school holidays. We cater for approximately 100 children during each school holidays.

Registration fee books your spot on our programs and is utilized for marketing and administration purposes for all correspondence to volunteers.
